I’m a size 12 shoe and ordered the L/XL and was a little surprised at the length of the sock and how tight it was on my calf. The tightness wasn’t a compression sock tightness but felt more like there wasn’t enough material for my calf size. Because of that after a few hours of riding I found the sock starting to sag toward the boot which isn’t ideal. I do not have overly large calf’s, so the fit profile seems limited. Otherwise they were very comfortable in the boot and seemed to regulate temperature and moisture relatively well. These could be great with some tweaks.

Pure merino makes a huge difference- I've tried merino blend socks from the "big brands" and unfortunately between poor materials and warm snowboard boots, ended up with stinky socks at the end of just a single day of riding. The Woolf socks have outperformed expectations on every front- softness, warmth, odor control, and subtle cushioning.

Regarding fit- I am size 12 street shoes, size 11 Vans Infuse and went for the L-XL. I have fairly big calves, so it feels like I'm pushing the top end of the sizing of these socks, but they're not uncomfortable. They fit more mid-calf than above-calf for me, but very comfortable for their purpose.

The only issue I have is I now want to buy and try every single item Woolf offers...

Wore these in 5 degree F weather skiing in Northern MI. Toasty warm, and comes in XL. Will buy more.
